[MobilePRwire.com] Brighton, East Sussex -  UK app developer Backtrace has decided to fill this obvious gap in the market with their new release for Android devices. “Santa Face” lets you to use photos from your phone or tablet to create an amusing animated Santa character who pops up every time you reach for your phone.

“There are of course many ways to personalize your phone”, says developer Richard Airlie, “but being able to make yourself, your friends, and your family into an animated Santa is clearly the most essential”.

The app is implemented as a Live Wallpaper, which means your Santa-like-self is visible as you carry out activities on your home screen. The character is brought to life with a number of cute animations – including Santa turning to give a friendly wave, excitedly receiving a present from the sky, or performing a silly dance.

“It's a simple idea, but the feedback so far has been fantastic”, says Richard. “From young to old - everyone seems to love the idea of creating their own personal Santa”.

And with only a few days until Christmas, time is ticking to make sure you're not left without your Santa suit on.

Santa Face is available with both free and paid versions on the Google Play store.
