[MobilePRwire.com] New York, New York - Silent Film Director for iPhone was launched about a year ago. Since then users of the app created and shared over 300 000 silent films. MacPhun - the developers of the app - say the total number of films is even higher than that, as they counted only the videos created and submitted via the app.
Silent Film Director transforms iPhone videos into silent and vintage movies with users’ choice of effects (20s, 60s, 70s, sepia, etc), video speed, title cards, soundtracks and transitions. There is also a selection of handy video editing tools, like split, trim, reverse, mirror and others. iPhone users have a possibility to share created masterpieces via YouTube and Facebook as well as submit them to the video gallery, visible inside Silent Film Director app.
By February 2012 there were around 210 000 videos submitted to the gallery, but after “The Artist” scooped 5 Oscars ®, the number of shared silent films grew rapidly by over 90 000 per month. Thus the total number of Silent films, created on iPhone with Silent Film Director app exceeded 300 000.
Not so long ago Silent Film Director partnered with San Francisco Silent Film Festival and launched the International iPhone Silent Film Contest. Best videos are awarded weekly with prizes like Diff Cases, iPhone milo’s and styluses, the new iPad and tickets to legendary “Napoleon”, which is shown in San Francisco this weekend.
To celebrate the 300 K milestone Silent Film Director goes on sale and will be available for $0,99 (£0,69, 0,79 €) from March 30 till April 1, 2012.
Keep it retro.

Sending A Press Release Easy & Intuitive
The process to submit a release was fairly easy. Often times, submitting releases to PR agencies can get cumbersome since each company has a particular process in which their submission process works, however, MobilePRWire made sending a press release intuitive, easy and within minutes.
